| Maybe I won't get that subscription after all. You might have better luck contacting Ruby and letting her know. | |

| We let our subscription lapse after one year. We only got two of the four editions, but we did get one of those twice. I had assumed it was more tricky for them because we were in the UK. | |

| It's unfortunate, it's a great magazine but I think it's staff is so stretched out on work it's hard for them to stay organized. Of coarse, I'm not one to talk. Have you gotten any other magazines from the U.S.A. with the same problems? | |

| I think the in-office staff only consists of about three or four people at the most. *shrugs*
So, nothing like getting a death certificate in the mail to make your day complete.

| I feel led on, used, lied to and forgotten. I've been told they aren't worth my time. And I'm inclined to agree. But I can't stop feeling bad about it, or the friendships I feel I've possibly messed up. (I have been assured otherwise. I can't help but feel it nonetheless.) I just want to stop feeling this way. I know that will come with a bit of time. So in the end it'll all be ok. First post in a rant/bitch/moan thread ever! woohoo | |

| I am hungry. Well, okay, maybe not really hungry, but munchy. I have gotten plump in the past few months. Time to go on a diet. ick... Ok, I will wait until January the 2nd. Why fight christmas and new years?
I hate dieting. I hate being hungry. I hate feeling like I am depriving myself of goodies. I hate craving chocolate and having to reach for celery. I hate celery. I hate being responsible about my weight. I hate everything.
But most of all I HATE BEING PLUMP!!!

| I posted this on another forum, but I'm still pissed...
So I've been waiting a long time for a package from Japan that I ordered to come in. The package was purchased with some birthday money and also had somethings that that my friends had purchased. I went with a slow shipping option, as I was strapped for cash by the end of the order. So the other night when I got home from work, I was super excited to see that they had placed one of the package box keys in my mailbox (I live in an apt)! I dashed over to the box, only to discover that there was already a key in the lock, and nothing inside. I tried the other boxes, thinking that perhaps the key was mislabeled. No luck. It was 9:30 at night and I couldn't call the post office.
So the next morning, I called as soon as I got up and explained this. I got put on hold and passed around a whole lot until they finally said that they 'replace those keys all the time cause they're always missing'! They don't replace the lock though! D: So who knows how many people have access to other packages be simply keeping the key! I dashed up to the apt office hoping that maybe someone turned in the pack (maybe ours got mixed up?) No luck...
I've filed a police report at this point, but I've very lost. No insurance was offered so I'm stuck there. Since it was seamail, there's no tracking number. It obviously arrived where it was supposed to. I'm not sure if I'm completely screwed over or not... I thought that those boxes were secure, and that's why they existed... Who do I even seek a refund from? I feel that the post office is at fault, as they neglected to make sure that the lockboxes were even secure (isn't that why they are locked?).

WTF? As if at 38 (or older) you're supposed to look like some hideous creature.
Grrrr Argghhh. If you're going to say I look good then please just say I look good. You don't have to add........for your age.

| Yeah....already had that discussion where I mentioned I'd probably give the girls a lift at some point in my life and Rab was completely adamant that I was not to cosmetically adjust myself in any way, shape or form...then we watched the first season of the Simpsons with the baby sitter episode and her belly button boobs scared him. LOL | |

| You know I may have to play devils advocate here!! First off, I tire of the jokes on women and their boobs, face, butts, etc. Jokes so bad that we, as women, are tempted to get face lifts, boob jobs, etc.... all dangerous surgeries. What about men? May I be blunt? A teen boy has a lovely scrotum... tight, and as attractive as one has the ability to be... At 50? Why it hangs so low you would think they have to roll it up and toss it in a banana sack to be able to walk. And what about their inability to even keep an erection? That seems to be a sensitive subject... one that shouldnt be made fun of, all while jokes are constantly cycling about a womans figure!! Why dont men go get cosmetic surgery and get things lifted back up where they should be? Not to mention that their chests fall also, and it isnt attractive either. Maybe I am just in a mood to rant, but I am tired of things still being so onesided!! | |

| Well I was actually thinking of getting them lifted and reduced. We all know I'm really small with a tiny frame but my girls are huge- especially after pregnancy. THey went from a healthy C to an E and it's way more then I want to deal with. Bras don't fit and are uncomfortable and it leads to back pains. He still said he didn't like the idea of cosmetically altering myself. Bah- whatever...
So, for other ranty news: We were woken up this morning by a large group of firemen and road workers. THe main water line broke and since we are right on the corner we got the brunt of the damage. My garage is flooded...all my boxs of fabric are in there. They then said that the gas line MAY be broken as well but then gave us the ok to leave the house to take Rab to work. I get back and they wont let me drive the car into the neighborhood. I had to have a fireman escort me back to my house where I'm told the gas leak is worse then they thought and that I can't leave the house for 4 or 5 hours. I was like, ok, do I need to get myself and my cat out of here? and they said we'd be fine in the house. I asked if I can go from the house to the garage to start getting stuff out of the water and they told me I needed to stay in the house! I'm trapped in a house I don't know that I'm safe in while thousands of dollars of books and fabric are getting destroyed 15 feet from me! God my life sucks.

| I had like 8 boxs of books in cardboard boxs that got wet, a large box of comics that I'm trying to save, a box of my dads family photos that are irreplaceable, all the newspapers I wrote for are ruined, some of the GBs as well. A lot of it can be saved but it will be the worse for wear. And now I have to wash and dry three huge boxs of fabric that got soaked through. Hopefully that will all servive. There was hundreds of dollars of stuff that got wet. One guy said if we go to City Hall and file a complaint we can get compensated, but I dohn't know how much of it can be replaced, you know? And I'm flipping cold. THe gas has been off all day so I haven't had a heater and we still don't have running water. The guys have been working on this since 5 am and they're still going.
If I walk down to the main street and find my car has been broken into I'm going to completely lose it.
