| I just saw "Youth Without Youth" by Francis Ford Coppola. It was very interesting because you can see many similarities with Bram Stokers Dracula. The cinematography is very good, the costumes, makeup, and Fords' use of 'double-exposure' and cinematic effects, as in Dracula. I liked the way he 'flipped' the image upside-down in certain dream sequences. very artsy, slightly depressing, but a very interesting contribution to the list of movies from the movie master, Coppola. | |

| An Italian film entitled "I am not afraid", believe me I've seen scarier things in the girls' nappies when they were babies. Big disappointment! | |

| I went to see "Igor" with my daughter last Saturday. I wasn't too happy with it though. They should've spent more time in character development with the exception of Igor himself. The scenery looked nice at least. | |

Peter Sellers at his best! Quite a claim, but possibly justified.

| Nick & Nora's Infinite Playlist. Decent tho I'd say "rent it" And be mindful of where your bubblegum came from. If you see the movie, you'll understand. | |

| The Duchess w/ Keira Knightley I was bored, it looked good in the weekend things-to-do section of the paper. Great visuals, but a feel-bad movie. Kept hoping some model of Terminator would come on and kill Ralph Fiennes' character...with extreme prejudice! | |

| We went to see Quarantine. It was OK but not great. I would call it a rental though. I hear the original was really good though. | |

I saw the original "Rec" a few weeks ago. I believe I described it on this thread as the Spanish Blair Zombie Fireman Project. To be truthful I'd say it was OK but not great. Doesn't sound like there is much to choose between the two versions.

| I just sat through the first horrendous 17 minutes of Mama Mia.
The rest of the girls are still watching.
I've escaped to my room with Wanted. So far the soundtrack is infiinitely better at least.

Huh? You mean you didnt buy the nerd turned assassin plot? With the beautiful Angelina driving like a madwoman while bending bullets and dodging oncoming traffic? How about that last scene when she bent the bullet in a perfect circle killing everyone... Why Kas!! How much more simple can a plot be??? Plot? Was there a plot?

| The music was by Danny Elfman so it would have taken a much better storyline to take my attention away from that.
The film wasn't horrendous though. I mean, Mama Mia was horrendous. Wanted was just kinda crap.

Though if you like that sort of thing then Gone in 60 Seconds offers more cars AND Nicky Cage too boot.
