lol, no. Its a takeoff on that particularly Texan pastime of attempting to decipher ¿Quien es mas macho?: the guy in the giant pickup truck, or the guy in the giant pickup...with a gun rack!
As if things weren't weird enough with the rednecks, things only get goofier when you toss in machismo in this instance, lol.
Its a popular past time around here for the macho latin giant-truck driver to have his last name stenciled on his vehicle's back window.

Lol, I am also Latino but since I am nerdy/geeky/alternative/etc. nobody thinks I am. Everybody thinks I am from US/Portuguese/German/Italian/Spaniard/French/Russian/British. I was born in this country, carajo. both of my parents were and my grandparents were; the only exception is my father's grandfather who was born in Spain... but no... for the general consensus I am a foreigner... sighs... sorry, that sounded like a rant, didn't?

Have you seen El Muerto? is pretty much a Mexican version of The Crow. I heard that the comic is far better than the film, though:

No one would think me gothic b/c I don't wear the Hot Topic uniform all day like the local, ahem, "goths".
I used to think my light complexion was a bad thing as most of the other Latinos here are dark-skinned. Heck I'm almost the opposite of the "standard" here: I'm 5'9", light-skinned, have wavy dark hair, and thin. Compare that to the majority of Latinos in my neighborhood who are 5'2", dark-skinned, close-cropped hair, and a little on the chunky side as they partake of the fast food joints in my old neighborhood.

The difference didn't do me any favors in school.
