It's lack of historical accuracy was the thing that deterred me from watching it to begin with (but now I don't even have HBO at my place). But the costumes look absolutely scrumptious even if they are basically fantasy Tudor design.

I bought the DVDs mostly for costume reference and even those have taken some major creative liberties.
