^Same here. I think it's an interesting new take on Vampire cult shows... and has a fair shot. Granted, it premiering on HBO, in addition to all the promotion, gives it ample running ground to begin with, unlike other Vampire shows (*cough cough Moonlight*) that were not promoted at ALL, and aired in a death slot. But for the show itself-- it's unique... darker in the right places, very sexy... but still funny at times (like the promos suggested). I definitely am a fan.

Really? Thats fast, you wouldn't think HBO would put out a DVD for rent on one episode on a brand new series.

My first impression when I saw the commercial: vampires are soo overdone.

yeah, it was pretty good. expect for the "HBO" watermark throughout the whole thing

I've seen the first two episodes and I was pleasantly surprised. I was on the 'oh no not another Vampire thing' (Moolighting was dire and Blood Ties wasn't much better). But this has a lot of dark humour in it and it's really tongue in cheek. In fact the writing is verging on good old fashioned English sarcasm; something of a rarity in an American series. Lois Smith as Gran is particularly cool. I'm looking forward to seeing more personally.
