Way to Go GB!!

Just got an e-mail from Gothic Beauty, offering up the new issue for pre-sale.

Lo & behold! They're featuring A GUY!! on the cover!
(and dressed in non-stereotype wear!)

Don't get me wrong, I love a gothy babe on the cover of GB.
But for as long as I've read GB guys have basically been blink-&-you-missed-him figures, and usually clothed in some kind of fetish wear. That's all cool in and of itself but, like a gothy gal, not every gothy guy subscribes to one particular look.
Hell, what the model is wearing on the cover is more in sync with what I would wear
(when I'm not gothabillied up! )

They in their downfall; quite possibly they won't make it for the next year while hopefully Gothic Refuge and the Dark Realm still prevail.

Nah the guy at the magazine shop has a thing for girls who lick stuff. Oddly I have found my oral fixation seems to be a plus around men, imagine that.

At some point I've got to get a subscription to GB, I'm just a little tired of trying to find it at Barnes & Noble.

I like how they also have in big letters on the cover a story about Repo! The Genetic Opera. Seeing as it's not even getting a wide release, it's nice to have someone cover it.

The model looks way too perfect. I like the attire but his face is more in line for something you would see in Abercrombie and Fitch catalog.

I'm not impressed. I like dark haired men.... however, I AM impressed with the whole male on the cover thing.

Hmm, you know, I don't ever recall seeing a male on the cover of a GB magazine. So maybe they are taking a step forward, or something.

I HIGHLY suggest getting a copy of Deathrock Magazine. It really makes GB look weak in comparison.

That mag was the last one of my subscription so I actually have it. Inside "Ruby" admits that they didn't purposely put him on the cover, it was that nothing else really stood out and said "this is the one"

Though (regardless) I do like to have the image in my head of them saying "OMG, what do we do? what do we do? our subscriptions are falling, we need something extreme!"

I hadn't really meant to boycott them, but when the subscription ran out, I just didn't feel the urge to renew right away. And usually when I'm not subscribed, I'm down at Hastings twice a week to see if it's out yet. These past months I've just... been busy. It's not really a priority.
