Cliches

I want to do a project based on Goth cliches, but once you start trying to put a list together it becomes harder than you think. I'm thinking 'old school' goth and Victoriana rather than the modern styles like Cybergoth. Here's what I have so far, but then I ground to a halt.

The music of course (strictly 70's/80's)
Gothic literature (Edgar Allen Poe et al)
Bats, spiders, cobwebs, general Halloween style stuff
Skulls/Bones/Skeletons
Black makeup
Silver/Pewter jewellery
Candles/sticks
Religious 'jewellery' (rosaries, ankhs, pentacles etc)
Absinthe
Clove cigarettes
Walking canes
Hair paraphernalia for the big hair look
Pocket watch & chain

Anything else you can think of that would fit or immediately springs to mind that I've forgotten?

You've ignored footwear! Winkle-pickers, 16-eye DM's, New Rocks, etc etc!

Leather, "artfully torn" fishnet shirts...

Winklepickers and fishnets... oh my, how could I possibly forget those? O.O
